Brand IHR

The three letters - IHR - stand for hospitality, table culture and the matching napkins.

In 1977 the founders of IHR bought a village school in the Cloppenburgen Geest because they had fallen in love with the country and its people. Ingrid and Hanjö Rick opened the family business "ihr-kunstgewerbe".

Already in 1979 IHR published the first catalogue on loose pages, where customers could find mainly handmade wooden accessories, candlesticks and napkin holders.

1980/81 the legendary idea of the napkin was born by IHR, as many customers asked for matching napkins for the napkin holders offered. IHR produced the first fully printed and designed cellulose napkin worldwide. With this IHR conquered the market.

The worldwide demand for IHR napkins increased strongly, so that IHR decided in 1885 to change the name "ihr-kunstgewerbe" into an internationally more understandable name. Thus the company name "IHR Home Range", short IHR, was created.

Due to the great international demand, the demand for constant high quality and the desire to implement new ideas, IHR founded the in-house quality printing company "DECOPRINT" in 1992. Here the worldwide demanded YOUR napkins are still printed on the most modern and innovative high performance printing machines.

In 1992 IHR also founded the subsidiary IHR Ideal Home Range UK in England.

In 2012 IHR was taken over by long-standing employees and IHR Ideal Home Range GmbH was founded.

Today IHR is a very popular company and sells its IHR products in over 60 countries.
