The chalk marker uses non-permanent, water-based liquid chalk and dries quickly. On non-absorbent surfaces such as windows, mirrors, glass, tiles, or plastic film, the color is opaque and can be wiped off with a damp cloth. The round tip allows for a line width of approx. 2–3 mm. Pastel shades create the signature chalky look. A valve system ensures an even flow of ink, and the tip is removable and can be cleaned.
